Experience lengths vary depending on the format and menu. Specific start and end times are listed on our public class schedule. You can use the following below as a general guideline:
Public Pasta Classes - 2.5 to 3 hours
Public Baking Classes - 1.5 to 2 hours
Public Beverage Experiences - 1 - 1.5 hours
Private Pasta Classes - 1.5 - 3 hours (depending on experience chosen)
The number of seats shown in our Public Class Registration drop down menu reflects the remaining capacity for that class. In some cases, we may be able to accommodate additional guests - please email us at info@terramiaevents.ca to request availability before booking.
Unfortunately, we do not offer waitlists or holding seats for any classes.
What food will be served during the public class?
All of our public classes celebrate the traditional Italian communal table. Guests gather around the shared table to connect, share, eat and drink together.
Because our class dates are released up to 3 months in advance, we keep our dinner menus market driven instead of locking in fixed recipes.
Leaving the menu flexible allows our chef to design sauces, appetizers, sides etc. based on seasonal local produce and the freshest ingredients available.
Part of the experience is discovering regional Italian preparations, flavour combinations and recipes you may not have experienced before!
The featured pasta shape and style is always set and listed on your booking date.
Do we eat the pasta we make?
Absolutely! You craft your pasta at your designated station and our culinary team cooks everyones pasta together.
To ensure everyones safety and uphold professional kitchen hygiene, guests are required to follow all hand washing and food handling instructions. Any pasta handled outside of our sanitation protocols will be discarded and substituted with imported dried pasta for the meal.
Fresh, seasonal ingredients are prepared specifically for each workshop and family-style dinner. While every effort is made to accommodate dietary preferences and allergies, accommodations depend on the specific experience.
Guests with allergies or dietary restrictions must contact the team before booking to confirm accommodation feasibility.
Gluten-Free & Celiac:
The studio is not a gluten-free facility, and airborne wheat flour is present throughout the room.
Instruction focuses exclusively on traditional Italian wheat-flour doughs
Gluten-free guests will be cooked and served a separate, imported artisan gluten-free pasta dish during the family-style dinner.
Vegetarian:
Vegetarian accommodations can be arranged for the majority of classes.
Certain specialty dates feature meat-forward sauces or braises; advance notice allows the kitchen to prepare a seasonal vegetarian sauce alternative.
Vegan:
Traditional egg-dough classes (such as tagliatelle, pappardelle, or stuffed ravioli) cannot be modified during hands-on prep.
Southern Italian semolina-and-water doughs (such as cavatelli, trofie, orecchiette, or gnocchi) are naturally egg-free and vegan-friendly.
Vegan guests must reach out prior to booking so the team can confirm whether the selected class format can accomodate vegans.
Dairy-Free:
Most classes and sauces can easily accommodate dairy-free dining with advance notice.
Please note that many of our filled pastas contain Ricotta cheeses and other types of cheese.
Specific Allergies (Nuts, Seafood, etc.):
The kitchen is not an allergen-free facility, and nuts, seafood, dairy, and eggs are regularly used on-site.
Cross-contamination protocols and sanitized prep stations are maintained diligently, but 100% trace-free environments cannot be guaranteed.
Are drinks included with our class?
Most of our public pasta classes begin with a welcome cocktail/beverage and 1-2 wine glasses paired with the meal, though inclusions vary by format.
Check your specific listing: Because special workshops or tastings may differ, the event listing on our Public Classes booking schedule is the best reference for what is included with your ticket.
Full Bar Menu Available: Additional wine, cocktails and beverages are available to order and purchase throughout the experience.
Non-Alcoholic Options: Non-ABV alternatives and mocktails are always available for non-drinkers and designated drivers.
Our team adheres strictly to Ontario Smart Serve protocols to ensure a safe, hospitable and enjoyable experience for all guests.
There is no minimum guest count required to book a private pasta making experience.
However, all private bookings operate on a minimum spend requirement based on the day of the week and time of the day (with flexible lower minimums on weekdays and higher amounts during the most in demand periods like weekends).
Small private groups: Smaller parties are welcome to book a private experience, however the price per person is higher to meet the minimum spend requirements. Sometimes we recommend booking a seat at one of our public classes if this is the case.
Request new public class date: If your desired date does not have a public class scheduled and you prefer not to meet a minimum spend requirement, you can reach out to our team at info@terramiaevents.ca and request opening a public class (subject to availability) so your group can book and allow other guests to join the remaining seats. Requests must be submitted at least 28 days in advance.
Please note: Unlike a private event where your group has complete exclusivity and customization over the menu and pasta shapes - a requested public class is curated by our team (we select the menu and pasta shapes) and remaining seats are open to the public on the website.
Submit an Inquiry: Visit the private experiences page on the website and fill out the Reservation Form with your estimated guest count and 3 potential dates that work best for your group. The more flexible you are with date and times, the more options we'll have for your group.
Credit Card Authorization: Our team will review availability and contact you via email to confirm available dates and send you the credit card authorization form. To officially confirm your reservation, you will complete the credit card authorization form. Completing the form locks in your reservation and confirms your agreement with our private event booking and cancellation policies.
After your event is booked, our team will reach out 1 week before the event to confirm number of guests, dietary restrictions, pasta choice, and any other important details.
