At Terra Mia events, our mission is to create intentional, warmly curated experiences where food becomes a doorway to genuine human connection. Rooted in a deep love of hospitality and family tradition, Terra Mia brings people together around a shared table to learn, to create, and to transport them to the feeling of home, even among strangers.
We host a variety of workshops, such as pasta-making, cooking, baking, cocktail-making, and wine tastings. Our workshops are perfect for a wide variety of events, such as corporate team-building, birthday celebrations, family gatherings, bachelorette parties, and more!
With lifelong careers in hospitality and deep roots in Italy, we created these immersive events and workshops to pass down our family traditions and culinary knowledge, as well as our overall deep love for Italian culture and cuisine. When you come to any Terra Mia event or workshop, we will always be there to guide you through the experience!
We are located right inside of Casa Mia Ristorante, our family’s restaurant that has been in business for over 40 years here in Niagara!
Olivia Mollica
Olivia is the chef of our team, who attended school at École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie in Yssingeaux, France, worked at Hotel Plaza Athéné in Paris, the Chase Hotel, and Colette in Toronto. She’s also been rolling out pasta dough and cooking Italian food since she was a little kid, helping out with Sunday lunches at Nonna’s house!
With her extensive culinary background and deep Italian roots, Olivia’s passion in life is to pass down her family traditions, share her culinary knowledge with others, and guide them into learning how to make authentic Italian cuisine.
Matt Simon
Matt’s the sommelier of our team, certified through the Court of Master Sommeliers, and is an Italian Wine Scholar with WSG. He also worked at the Queen’s Landing Hotel and Ravine Winery in Niagara.
His wine expertise, combined with years of experience in the service industry, has lead him to be very passionate about sharing his love for food and wine with others, serving our guests the most perfect food and wine pairings and making them the most delicious cocktails. Matt also wants to show others that wine tastings are for everyone, and that you can have a fun and amazing time even if you’re not a wine expert.
